Despite the war in Ukraine and already in Israel, this Saturday America (unfortunately only there) will be visited by a stunning astronomical spectacle – an annular eclipse, during which the Moon crosses the Sun and leaves a “ring of fire” around it.
An annular eclipse occurs when the Moon is too far from the Earth and does not cover the entire disk of the Sun.
As stunning as the ring of fire is, it’s also a preparation for next year’s Great North American Eclipse — a total eclipse on April 8, 2024 that will cover Mexico, the United States and Canada.
I wish everyone to live to this wonderful moment safe and sound. And of course, if possible, see it with your own eyes.
#Astrokhata is still under occupation, but we hope for the best.
